The 7th Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championship 2024

Two modes of championship are available. Each participating school (or tuition centre) is free to choose any one and only one mode of the championship for all its participants.

Mode 1: Paper-Based Championship at Schools, with Online Submission of Answers
16 July 2024 (Tuesday) to 19 July 2024 (Friday) – one day to be chosen by school

Mode 2: Fully Online Championship at Home of each Participant or any Suitable Venue
Primary Schools: 20 July 2024 (Saturday) – from 10.00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.
Secondary Schools: 21 July 2024 (Sunday) – from 10.00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.
(Participants under Mode 2 can choose any 1 hour 45 minutes within the designated period stated above to complete the fully online competition.)

How to Register?
Registration can be done by teacher-in-charges only. Teachers will register for students by submitting the filled excel spreadsheet registration form and the proof of payment to the organiser's email inbox at gohmaths@gmail.com.

The 3rd Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championship 2019

We would like to announce that 'The 3rd Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championship 2019' will be held from 15 to 17 April 2019. The registration opens until 15 March 2019 and we would like to invite the students from all the schools in Malaysia to participate in this mathematics championship. This mathematics championship will be held at each participating school.

The championship is open to all the primary school, secondary school and pre-university students in Malaysia. The registration fees for each participant is RM 30.00 only. Each school can send as many participants as desired. However, a minimum of 3 entries, regardless of the school year level, is required for each participating school. MOE Approval Letter

Specific preparation for the championship is strongly recommended if participants wish to do well in the championship. Preparation can be done based on the school mathematics syllabus and the championship official syllabus. The organiser has created a suite of practice materials for all the participants. To help prepare for the championship, you can download the sample questions and answers here.

What follows is the sample questions and answers for 'The 3rd Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championship 2019'. Some of the sample questions are extracted from the previous championship papers. All the participants are advised to try the sample questions below. Other students who are interested in our mathematics championship, but not yet register as a participant can try the sample questions as well.


Majority (around 65%) of the championship questions are based on the Malaysia school syllabus: Mathematics (Primary 1 to Secondary 3), SPM Mathematics and Additional Mathematics (Secondary 4 and 5), and STPM Mathematics T (Secondary 6). The rest of the questions (especially Section C questions) will follow the BMC syllabus. Please download the full championship syllabus here. The Benedict Goh Mathematics Championships is a competitive mathematics game founded by Benedict Goh Kah Hong in 2017 when he staged the very first Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championship in 2017.
