Dear teachers, parents and students,

We are pleased to announce that the Benedict Goh Mathematics Championships Malaysia Secretariat intends to host ‘The 5th Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championship 2022’ from 30 June 2022 to 2 July 2022. The competition will be fully conducted online and we would like to invite all the primary and secondary school students in Malaysia who love mathematics to take part in this exciting competition.

The Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championships is a mathematics competition that held annually since 2017, with the exception of 2020. The main objective of the championship is to popularise the beauty of mathematics among the students. At the same time, the championship also aims at stimulating interest in mathematics among the participants by exposing them to interesting mathematics problems.

We have been preparing for this championship for a few months. We believe that this event is what many of us have been dreaming of for a very long time: a mathematics championship that serves as a platform for all the primary and secondary schools students to compete with participants from different regions of Malaysia. We hope to receive a tremendous response from schools, parents and students around Malaysia.

For your information, the championship will be held as per the following details:
Competition Date (Primary School): 30 June 2022 and 1 July 2022
Competition Date (Secondary School): 2 July 2022
Registration Period: 21 March 2022 to 31 May 2022
Venue: Online, at the home of each participant or any suitable venue

Please note that ‘The 5th Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championship 2022’ will be conducted online. Therefore, on the championship days, participants can answer the championship questions just at home or at any other suitable venue. Of course, students who wish to participate in this championship must have a device (laptop/smartphone) and an Internet connection.

The organiser will provide awards such as medals and certificates for the winners of the competition. Each participant will receive a printed certificate of participation. The logo of the Benedict Goh Mathematics Championships will be printed on the certificates issued by us. Participants may include the championship certificates issued by us in their school portfolio to strengthen their application for further studies, universities or scholarships.

If you are a teacher, you can download all the important documents of this event on this website. If your school joined our online championship last year, you will also receive an official invitation email soon. To register, please download and use the excel registration form provided by us. You can also visit the championship homepage here.

If you are a primary or a secondary school student in Malaysia and you love mathematics, then you are most welcome to join this competition. To register, you just need to submit the filled parent consent form and pay the registration fees to the teacher-in-charge of this competition at your school.
