The 8th Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championship 2025

Announcement: The registration closing date for 'The 8th Benedict Goh Malaysia Schools Mathematics Championship 2025' has been extended to 25 June 2025 (Wednesday). All the registration received before 11.59 pm of 25 June 2025 will be accepted.

Two modes of championship are available. Each participating school (or tuition centre) is free to choose any one and only one mode of the championship for all its participants.

Mode 1: Paper-Based Championship at Schools, with Online Submission of Answers
22 July 2025 (Tuesday) to 25 July 2025 (Friday) – one day to be chosen by school

Mode 2: Fully Online Championship at Home of each Participant or any Suitable Venue
Primary Schools: 26 July 2025 (Saturday) – from 10.00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.
Secondary Schools: 27 July 2025 (Sunday) – from 10.00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.
(Participants under Mode 2 can choose any 1 hour 45 minutes within the designated period stated above to complete the fully online competition. Note that camera supervision is expected to be implemented.)

Register for BMC Malaysia Schools 2025
Registration opens from now until 11.59 p.m. of the 15th of June, 2025 (Sunday). Registration can be done by teacher-in-charges only. Teachers will register for students by submitting the filled excel spreadsheet registration form and the proof of payment for registration fees to the organiser's email inbox at gohmaths@gmail.com.

The championship will be held from 22nd to 27th July 2025 and will be available in two different modes:

  • Paper-Based Mode (22nd – 25th July 2025): Participants will complete the competition physically at their respective schools under the supervision of teachers and submit their answers online.
  • Fully Online Mode (26th – 27th July 2025): Participants will complete the competition from home or a suitable venue, requiring a device with a camera and an internet connection.

Each participating school can choose only one mode for all its participants. The championship features 30 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 1 hour and 30 minutes. The contest will be offered in English, Malay, and Simplified Chinese, ensuring accessibility for all students.

Action Speaks Louder Than Words! Let’s Register Now!

Registration for the championship is now open and will close on 15th June 2025 (Sunday). To ensure accurate student information and proper coordination, registration is usually managed by teachers from schools or tuition centres. Here’s how you can register:

    1. For Schools and Tuition Centres:
      Teachers-in-charge can register their students by visiting the championship official website at www.gohmaths.com. They will need to download the registration form (an excel spreadsheet file), fill it out, and submit it along with proof of payment for registration fees to the organiser via email.
    2. Registration Fees:
      The registration fee is RM 30.00 per competitor. Schools must register a minimum of three participants. If a school has fewer than three participants, an additional fee of RM 5.00 per competitor will apply.
    3. Confirmation:
      Once the registration form and payment are received, the organiser will send a confirmation email to the teachers-in-charge within 7 working days. Teachers-in-charge of participating schools and tuition centres are advised to contact the organiser if they do not receive the confirmation email.

Awards and Recognition

The championship offers a wide range of awards to recognise and reward participants' achievements:

  • Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Consolation Medals for top performers.
  • Certificate of Achievement (for participants scoring 70–120 marks) and Certificate of Participation (for participants scoring 0–69 marks).
  • Special Titles of Mathematics for secondary school students who excel in the competition.

The awards ceremony will be held at each participating school, where students will receive their medals and certificates. The organiser will aim to courier the awards pack to schools as soon as possible, with a planned date of 5th December 2025. However, please note that this is an estimated date, and the actual delivery may vary.
